Our Name, Our Story
Feel the Rhythm of Tanzania
Manyanga is a shaker — a percussion instrument found across East and Central Africa, woven from gourds, beads, or seeds, and played at celebrations, ceremonies, and everyday gatherings. It doesn’t lead the music, but nothing else falls into place without it. It holds the rhythm steady so the rest of the performance can shine. The name also carries a deeply personal meaning: Manyanga was the name of our founder’s grandmother, the woman who raised him in the village and cared for him with quiet strength and unwavering love. Her steady presence shaped his life long before this company existed. Naming the business after her is a way of carrying her legacy forward — grounded, dependable, and rooted in family and community. We chose this name because it captures exactly what we want every trip to feel like: well-paced, well-supported, and true to the place it comes from. We believe that travel is more than just moving from one place to another — it’s about discovering new cultures, creating unforgettable experiences, and making lifelong memories.
From the snows of Kilimanjaro to the plains of the Serengeti and the shores of Zanzibar — Manyanga Tours turns your Tanzania journey into a story worth telling.
Who We Are
Our Approach
Our Mission
Who We Are
Manyanga Tours is a young company with an experienced foundation. While we are new to the tourism industry, our leadership brings years of professional experience across multiple sectors — including law, business management, and entrepreneurship. That background shapes how we operate: with contracts you can trust, pricing that's transparent, communication that's prompt, and a level of professionalism not always associated with smaller, newer operators.
We saw an opportunity in Tanzania's tourism sector to do things differently — to combine the rigor of a well-run business with the genuine hospitality and insider knowledge that only comes from being Tanzanian. Too many travelers experience this beautiful country through operators who treat it as a transaction. We wanted to build something that treats it as a privilege — for us and for our guests.
Our Approach
Local Roots, Professional Standards. Our guides, drivers, and planners are Tanzanian. They know the parks, the roads, the seasons, and the culture intimately. At the same time, our business is run with the structure and accountability of a professional services firm — clear contracts, honest pricing, and a team that follows through on what it promises.
Small Enough to Care, Organized Enough to Deliver. As a new company, every guest matters enormously to us. You won't be a booking number. You will work directly with people who are personally invested in making your trip exceptional, while benefiting from carefully vetted vehicles, lodges, and partners.
Ethical and Transparent Business Practices. Our founders' legal and business backgrounds mean we hold ourselves to high standards around fair contracts, fair treatment of our staff and partner communities, and honest communication with our clients from the first inquiry to the final goodbye.
